Where To Buy The Best Cf Reader For Mac

Hi, I have 2 Ultra II 1.0 GB CF cards that can be used on an Win XP laptop using a Lexar USB 2.0 Multi-Card Reader but not on a Mac Pro or an iMac. It seems to point to SanDisk/Mac because a Lexar 12X 96MB and an IBM Microdrive 1GB works fine on the OS X computers. I aso have a Canon 32MB card which is made by SanDisk and it does not work with OS X either. Does SanDisk have a problem with Mac or vice versa? Do I need to purchase another brand of CF cards to get compatibility across Windows and Mac?

Thanks, John. Check System Profiler - Apple - About this Mac - More Infot then click on USB on the left pane and look for the lexar reader on the right. If the reader is not there then the reader is not getting recognized by the computer so the card would not work, if the reader shows up. Check disk utilities and see if the drive shows up there also check if the drive is mounted by looking for the Mount button on the same Window. As such the memory card does not have any compatibility issue with Any version of mac computer so the card should work, you may also want to try the card with another reader on the mac computer.

Around an hour later, a pop-up dialog finally complained about the lack of updates, incorrectly suggesting this might be a problem with our internet connection. On first launch the program displays the 'Date of virus signatures' which was a couple of weeks out of date, presumably because it hadn't been updated yet. We expected this to be automatically updated, but no. Escan antivirus download for windows 7. We ran a scan to see if the program would warn us about the outdated signatures, but still nothing.
